“As an educator with over 25 years of experience, I have observed that children today often struggle with picking themselves up and finding solutions to their problems. The Bowly series is an exceptional collection of books designed to teach children essential skills such as resilience, a growth mindset, and grit. When I introduced the Bowly books to my Year 1 class, they were immediately captivated. The books are not only fun and engaging but also deeply impactful. I plan to prominently display the Bowly books in my classroom and regularly refer to them during lessons.”
Angharad Davies lives in Carmarthenshire with her husband and two book-mad boys (7 and 5). After witnessing the magic of story in her children for nurturing emotional intelligence, growth mindset and resilience, she decided to write her own.
Combining her knowledge from postgraduate qualifications in Psychology and Play Therapy with her children's love for humorous reads, the Bowly Can book series was born.
With the help of her own children's story ideas and illustrations, Angharad is on a mission to deliver practical mindset and resilience tools to children across the nation through the power of story.
Having seen how engaged her children were in the book-creation process, she knew that more children had to experience this magic. She is now excited to be able to bring this unique experience to primary schools throughout the UK to spark a love for all things reading and writing.
